Refund & Cancellation Policy

Clear, fair rules for cancellations — for both renters and owners.

This policy applies to all bookings made on the Parkd platform. Cancellations and refunds are governed by the time remaining before the booking start. All refunds are returned to the original payment method via Razorpay.

1. Renter Cancellations

If you need to cancel a booking, the refund you receive depends on how far in advance you cancel relative to the booking start time:

Cancellation time is calculated based on the booking start time as shown in your confirmation. All times are in Indian Standard Time (IST).

To cancel a booking, go to My Bookings in your dashboard and select Cancel Booking, or contact us at support@parkd.in.

2. Owner Cancellations

We expect Owners to honour all confirmed bookings. If an Owner cancels a confirmed booking:

  • The Renter receives a 100% refund of the amount paid.
  • The Renter receives a ₹50 platform credit applicable to their next booking.
  • The Owner's listing may be temporarily suspended pending review.
  • Repeated cancellations by an Owner may result in permanent removal from the platform.

Owners who anticipate being unable to provide access must cancel at least 4 hours before the booking starts and contact support to notify the affected Renter.

3. No-Show Policy

If a Renter does not arrive within 30 minutes of the booking start time without prior notice, the booking is treated as a no-show and no refund is issued. The Owner may then make the space available to others for the remainder of the booked period.

If you are running late, please contact the Owner or our support team before the 30-minute window closes.

4. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed through Razorpay to the original payment method:

  • UPI and bank transfers: 1–3 business days.
  • Debit and credit cards: 5–7 business days (depending on your issuing bank).
  • Net banking: 3–5 business days.
  • Digital wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, etc.): 1–2 business days.

Platform credits (e.g., compensation for Owner cancellations) are available immediately in your Parkd wallet and valid for 6 months.

Razorpay may take additional time to process refunds during peak periods or bank holidays. Parkd is not responsible for delays caused by Razorpay or your bank once a refund has been initiated.

5. Booking Errors and Technical Issues

If you made a booking in error (e.g., wrong date, wrong location) and notice it within 1 hour of making the booking — and the booking start time is more than 24 hours away — contact us immediately at support@parkd.in and we will issue a full refund at our discretion.

If a technical error on Parkd’s part caused a duplicate charge or an incorrect booking, we will issue a full refund regardless of the cancellation window.

6. Force Majeure

In exceptional circumstances beyond either party’s control — including natural disasters, government-declared emergencies, or citywide infrastructure failures — Parkd may, at its sole discretion, issue full or partial refunds outside the standard policy. Decisions will be communicated individually by our support team.

7. Disputes

If you believe a refund decision is incorrect, or if an Owner claims a no-show that did not occur, raise a dispute within 24 hours of the booking end time by emailing support@parkd.in with your booking reference and any supporting evidence (photos, timestamps). Parkd will investigate and issue a final decision within 5 business days.

Parkd’s decision on refund disputes is final. For disputes involving amounts above ₹5,000, you may escalate to the Bengaluru consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
